Angela Traverso, PT, DPT, OCS
Angela grew up in the East Bay where she played soccer, baseball, and softball from a very young age. Her love for sports and the medical field are what initially drew her to physical therapy. She attended San Diego State University to find her love for patient care, surfing, Mexican food and yoga. After completing her Kinesiology degree with an emphasis in Physical Therapy, she went to Los Angeles to get her Doctorate degree at Mount Saint Mary’s University. After graduating in 2012 she began working in orthopedics with young athletes, weekend warriors, and geriatrics. She also continues to play soccer and practice yoga in her free time.
Michael Kyle, PTA, CLT

Mike has been with Spine and Sports Physical Therapy since 2013, and is a former electrical engineer and Ironman triathlete who realized his passion for physical therapy after working as a triathlon coach and observing the many injuries that athletes often face. Mike received his PTA degree from Carrington College in 2012, and his lymphedema certification in 2017. From post-surgical to chronic pain to lymphatic issues, Mike enjoys working with patients with a wide array of diagnoses. Mike is very passionate about serving patients and providing the highest level of care possible.
Humberto Esrtrella, PT, DPT
Humberto is originally from Los Angeles, CA. He has a B.A. in Political Science from UC Berkeley and in 2015 he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. Humberto is also a Credentialed Clinical Instructor. In Octomber 2017, Humberto joined the Spine and Sports Physical Therapy Concord team He currently lives in Walnut Creek with my wife, Cristina, and dog, Honey.
Patient Care Lead
Erika, a longtime resident of Brentwood, is our Patient Care Lead of our Concord office. She is responsible for the control of the front office, making sure all every day operations in the clinic are running smoothly. In her spare time, she enjoys remaining active, daily walks, traveling with her family and friends, and enjoying new places to eat.
Physical Therapy Technician
Alicia graduated from UCLA with a major in Physiological Science and a minor in Theater. She will be earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Columbia University in New York City beginning in the fall. Alicia has been a Physical Therapy Technician for a year and plans to pursue sports physical therapy.
