Physical Therapy
Physical
Therapy is an approach to the
rehabilitation of injury and illness
which includes evaluation, treatment
and/or prevention of neuromuscular,
musculoskeletal, cardiovascular and
pulmonary disorders which produce
physical impairment and/or functional
limitations.
Our
licensed staff of Physical Therapists
(PT) and Physical Therapist Assistants
(PTA) provide services which decrease
pain and ultimately increase functional
independence.
The
primary focus of Physical Therapy is to
get the individual back to his or her
previous activity level. Whether it is
the high-level athlete, the injured
worker, or a post-surgical patient,
Physical Therapists perform a detailed
evaluation to determine the appropriate
treatment plan. We work closely with
the Physician to ensure accurate
diagnosis, and appropriate levels of
rehabilitation.

management
Physical
Therapists are often called “Movement
Specialists”. They are educated in
understanding the interaction of all
body parts. Their hands-on approach
provides service which examines and
treats immediate problems, then teaches
the patient how to take care of
themselves by showing how to use your
body properly in order to gain strength
and mobility and to prevent injury from
occurring in the future.
Our
primary focus is on active therapy
rather than passive and mechanical
modalities. We utilize evidence-based
treatment protocols which are both
objective and measurable.
We're
committed to educating our patients so
that they understand their personal
treatment plan, and therefore remain
highly motivated during therapy.
All
patients are provided with a
comprehensive home exercise program to
continue their personal exercise
regimen.
